Scientists at MIT and IIT grow self-organizing brain tissue through microfluidics

MIT and Indian Institute of Technology scientists grow brain tissue in 3D-printed microfluidic system. This system allows brain tissue to self organize while the tissue grows and develops. This 3D printed device uses a reuseable platform and costs only $5 to fabricate. Investigators tested their device with human cells and were able to follow their growth and development for seven days.
