In-vivo imaging of tastebuds

Researchers from South Korea developed a method to obtain images of in vivo cells under controlled exposure to multiple tastants using intravital fluorescence microscopy. The technique can be used to understand and map taste bud distribution and which taste buds react to specific tastants.
